Nature And Science
I honestly do not really believe in since, i do not care for it at all. I mean i guess some things are more believable then others like adaptation, the water cycle, and a few other things but i wouldn't really consider though science. I think people these days always try to tie science into everything because they think it will make it more understandable and evidential, but i do not things really need to have an explanation i let things just happen and don't really worry about it.
Welfare System
Obviously Welfare is a great thing to have, but not everyone deserves it, or puts it to good use. Im not really sure a lot about the subject, but i know theres a lot of controversy about how people on welfare should be drug tested, to see what exactly that money is going to. Some people really need it like those who are layed of, or a single mother, but others don't. People who do not even try to get jobs don't deserve it because they are lazy, and people who just gamble it and spend it on booze and drugs also obviously do not need it. It is hard to tell how people are going using it though before it is given to them.
Occupy Wall Street
Occupy Wall Street focuses on fighting against what its protesters see as corporate greed and economic inequality. The last big movement was on December 12, 2011 and the protests was aimed at two West Coast companies in particular, port operator SSA Marine and grain exporter EGT, with the goal of improving the rights of their workers. A lot of people are not happy about Wall Street and the corruption with in it, but i do not think it is ever going o change. There is a bunch of under the counter stuff going on not only on Wall Street but with lots of businesses, and it is making our economy worse, but taxes just keep going up and the government keeps waisting our money and getting into money. I wouldn't want to pay taxes either if it was going to nothing.
Freedom of Speech
America is a free country, that is why most people come here. We have the freedom to do pretty much anything we want, even things that are against the law, but if we do those things we will be penalized. Other countries do not have these same rights, most have to abide by the strict laws and customs that are set, like religion, appearance, and speech. But as Americans we are allowed to do all those things freely and everyone is allowed to think and do as they please about them. The freedom of Speech has gotten America where it is today, it helped with the woman's rights movement, black movement, and still today people are speaking up for what they think is right. Some people are put to death or killed for what they say, which is not right since everyone has the free will to speak as they please

Addiction
I am a compulsive shopper. I am always shopping, whether it be by window, online, or even making a list in my head, theres always more that i could add to my collection. My mother always says i need to get counseling for my addiction, but i think other wise. I just love clothes, shoes, and accessories. If there is something I want, i will always find a way to get it, no matter what it is. When i was younger i was never one to shop, because i was what one would call a "tom boy" so I'm really just making up for all those years. The only problem is is that i have expensive taste, also what my mother says, i love brand name, and designer everything.

Religion and Science
We always learn that Religion and Science are two separate things. In school we have science class, and out side of school we, or some of us, go to religion classes. Never have we been told by our science teacher or religion teacher that these two things correspond with each other. Now a days people come up with all sorts of crazy ideas and some how get people to believe them. Scientology is one of those ideas. Scientology.org states "Scientology addresses the spirit—not the body or mind—and believes that Man is far more than a product of his environment, or his genes" Though i do not know all the concepts of religion and science, i know that they are two different things. Growing up all my life not once have i ever heard that Science and Religion relate back to each other so why would i start to believe something that they just came up with.

Poverty, Wealth, and Social Class
I was born and raised in one of the most wealthy areas of the United Staes , The East Coast. I live around 30 Min outside of boston, and the way things are back home I'm used to it because it is the only thing i know, but traveling and coming out here, telling people I'm from MA the response i get is usually a gasp and then a serious statement about how expensive it is out there. Now i have been lucky enough to live in the same house, in a nice neighborhood, for the past eighteen years, and growing up thats how i thought most peoples lives where. Money was never an issue in my family and i never really thought to much about it but with the bad economy, rising prices, and lay offs, any thing could happen. For a company my dad had been the boss of his area for around 20 years, but even the economy got to his job too, My dad ended up getting laid off a few years ago, but soon after luckily found another job, though he has to travel 2 hours there and back every day. He was just lucky to find a job. The economy is at its lowest right now and a lot of people are struggling just to have food on there plates. I did not experience anything compared to all the other billions of people in the world. To me it seems as though the middle class is dying out, or at least in MA. It is like there are only very wealthy people or dirt poor people, and it sadness me that these people can not find jobs. Even the very wealthy, that wealth will not last forever, because most are probably in a lot of debt which does not make the economy any better. People are buying things that in reality they can't pay for, people go for their wants rather then their needs. If those people listened to the churches council about staying out of debt the economy and people standing in society would be so much better, there would be more jobs, less poverty, it may not be much but it would be a good place to start!
Leaving Mom and Dad
Everyone has separation anxiety from their parents, ya maybe when there in kindergarden, but not me. I am now eighteen years old, a freshman in college, and have barley gotten over being able to be away from mom and dad. I remember the first time i tried sleeping over a friends house I was about 4 or 5, every thing was fine and dandy until it started getting darker and darker, and i started getting more and more worried.
I absolutely dreaded night time, because that meant going to sleep. I knew that when everyone was sleeping I would be awake, staring at the ceiling, worrying about any bad thing that could possibly happen. About 2 hours into staring at the wall, I felt like i was going to go crazy. Crying and hyper ventilating, i rushed into my friends parents room saying a needed to go home even though i lived quit far away. Maybe you think that is expected for a 4 or 5 year old but thats was just the first time it occurred. As i got older i had a lot more opportunities to stay over friends house, whether it be a best friend in my neighborhood, soccer party, birthday party, or a church friends, i was always being invited to sleep over. Of course i did not want to let up an offer so i always accepted and always ended up going home a little after midnight. I could not even sleep over my friends house around the corner.
Lucky for me, this fear of leaving mom an dad started to wear off around 6th grade and i am happy to say now i can sleep any where any time any place and fall asleep perfectly, even with out my special blanket, dog, and bear, but thats another story.

Music
Music makes everything better. Music surrounds me in my everyday life, there is rarely a moment when i am not hearing, or singing it. Not matter where i am or what i am doing i can always count on my iPod to make things more enjoyable. Silence just does not cut it for me, i need there to be music in the air in order to set a good mood. When i am working out or just by myself i know music is always by my side it is one of my key motivators. Music is a key source that pumps me up and gets me in the zone for what ever i may be doing. Music can trigger emotions like no other, depending on the type of song. I enjoy listening to happy music and fun music at all times in order to forget about any negative things in my life, and that helps a lot. I honestly do not know where i would be, or even where the world would be with out music. All i know is that i would not be enjoying life as much.

Government
I am an Eighteen year old citizen of the United States of America, and I am proud to live in my country. I love the fact that everyone is considered equal, has rights, has a say in the laws our country makes, and is free to think as they please. Government plays a huge part in the country I live in today, it sets boundaries for the way we are to live, and serves penalties for those who choose not to live by our standards. We the people play a huge role in government, it is a place where laws are set to make our country a better place to live. Though Government is a very in demand thing and is what keeps America running, I honestly have no thoughts about it. As an Eighteen year old girl, who does not follow politics what so ever, i have many other priorities to think about, and a lot of things i wold rather be thinking about, like shopping or boys or other things to my interest.

Facebook in the Future
With technology, as the years go by, it is always changing and advancing itself. Phones, Computers, Cars, they always come out with new versions of these things. While these things are changing ever few years, Facebook however changes about every few months, and it always seems to cause a stir.
Recently there have been some up dates to Facebook that users aren't so fond of. Once the changes occur everyone seems to post there status as how they do not like the new Facebook. The changes always seem to be confusing, or odd and unnecessary, but the most recent changes have been more so then usual. It is said that in the span of only a few weeks Facebook is supposed to totally reinvent itself. I think Facebook needs to just relax on the changes, instead of trying to update it all the time. The more they change it the more confusing it gets, especially for people of older age. Personally i think at first everyone dis likes the new changes to Facebook, but after getting adjusted life goes back to its old ways....until it changes again.

WAR
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone could get along, if there was no fighting, bickering, or hatred between one another? It is sad to think that there can be so much hate between people and countries that it leads us to war.
People may like the glory that war brings them for protecting their country, but War is a terrible thing. No one should have to lose their life because of the choices the government has made and the fights they get into with other countries. We always learn that fighting is not the answer when in reality we see that it is the way we solve some big problems, and it is sending the wrong message making fighting seem ok. America is in a never-ending war, it has been going on for so long that most people have to ask why were in one. It is just a cycle that does not end.
Showing respect for those who die for our country is something that is needed and should be done, but I still think people should not have to die for our country in the first place. It is always a negative and sad thing when we hear about war, the only happy news we can get is about a loved one not dying. I could not even imagine losing a loved one in war, I do not think I would support them going in the first place. It is just a terrible thing.
My hope is to some day end the war we are in, and hopefully stay out of and prevent new ones. It would be great if we did not have to keep shipping out and losing our soldiers, and no one would have to lose a loved one in such a terrible way.
